Our Amazing Education Assistants!
Mrs. Kelcie Hyatt
I was born and raised in Princeton, B.C. on a farm with my grandparents and that is where my love for the outdoors began! You will find me and my family most of the time in the outdoors kayaking, fishing, hiking, hunting and camping.
I moved to Teslin in 1998 looking for a summer adventure and never left. I moved to Whitehorse in 2000, married my 'fishing buddy' and we have 3 beautiful children, 2 boys 18 and 16 and 1 girl who is 14.
I became an Educational Assistant 12 years ago after receiving my certificate from the Educational Assistant Program and Early Childhood Development Program from Yukon University. My love and passion for supporting students in any way to help them be successful grows more each day. I am very excited to be in your child's classroom this year and looking forward to my next adventure in grade 2/3!!

Ms. Kristy is never happier then when she is swimming in the lakes of the world and boating to the coolest cabins. She loves traveling, reading, music and netflix....she has been called the 'crazy cat lady' more than once :)
Ms. Kristy has been at Elijah Smith Elementary as an Education Assistant for almost 10 years and is looking forward to the 2021/2022 school year in your child's classroom
